Butter Color: Yellow
Shea butter has soothing, moisturizing, and protective properties for the skin. Due to its high content of unsaturated fats, including vitamins and other active ingredients, fresh shea butter adds a significant amount of these general properties.
It plays a significant role in protecting the skin from ultraviolet rays due to its cinnamic acid content, and can therefore be included in sunscreen products.
It also prevents some types of sun allergies. Shea butter also promotes cell regeneration and capillary circulation. This aids in the healing of minor wounds, cracks, dry skin, and skin ulcers.
In cosmetics, this property is a powerful anti-aging agent. It has restructuring effects on the skin, as well as on dry and brittle hair. It helps treat dry skin, dermatitis, eczema, sunburn, and burns. It also has anti-stretch properties, making it an active ingredient against stretch marks. It can be used to treat rheumatism, muscle pain, and to relieve colds. It penetrates the skin very well, and it usually doesn't cause any allergic reactions. It can even be used on very sensitive skin areas such as mucous membranes and around the eyes.
